Why do you hope it is dangerous?
Because I want to believe in it's potential power to influence its consumers and producers to grow dissatisfied with themselves. That can be dangerous--or unsafe. But that also can be good.
To quote a great piece of literature:
_______________
"That you will, dearie, and no mistake," said Mrs Beaver; "if there's anyone who can appear before Aslan without their knees knocking they're either braver than most or else just silly."
"Then he isn't safe?" said Lucy.
"Safe?" said Mr Beaver; "don't you hear what Mrs Beaver tells you? Who said anything about safe? 'Course he isn't safe. But he's good. He's the King, I tell you."
______________
Something can be dangerous and good, and in the case of literature, its "danger" may be one thing that makes it good. But beyond this, if it has no dangerous potential, then I'd be forced to doubt potential for good.
I agree.
