top five things I can hear from where I sit typing this

5. Gunshots from the shooting range half mile away.
4. Train whistle from the tracks half mile away.
3. Birds chirping.
2. Sprinkler system watering the lawn.
1. Sydney talking and singing to herself as she plays bubbles in the back deck.

Try shooting a short film anywhere close to the shooting range. It requires an awful lot of takes to get any that are silent.
